Gregg Mangan currently works at the Connecticut Humanities Council as the director of the digital humanities department. Prior to his work at Connecticut Humanities, he spent seven years as a freelance historian, writer, and editor contracted to provide services to individuals, commercial businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations. He also served as an intern at the Connecticut Department of Culture & Tourism (now the Department of Economic and Community Development).
He holds a PhD in public history from Arizona State University. While at Arizona State, he also completed a graduate program in scholarly publishing. Prior to that, he earned an MA in public history from Central Connecticut State University and a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
